Photography Interns (on-going) 

We are looking for two to four photography students who are looking to develop or expand their professional portfolio. The following intern positions will be responsible for assisting stellar professional photographers in fashion and still life shoots for a national lifestyle magazine. There are opportunities to be involved in the complete photo shoot process from casting to publishing and more. We are looking for outgoing, creative, self-starters to assist and at times take the lead on photo assignments. The opportunities are unlimited! Please send cover letter and resume ASAP. Editorial Intern (on-going)

We are seeking an intern for our editorial department.  Duties include, but are not limited to assisting editorial team with inter-office duties, researching feature story ideas, assisting with reporting and writing small blurbs. Interns will be involved in all stages of making a magazine. Fashion Intern (on-going)

 

We are seeking an intern for our fashion department.  Duties include, but not limited to, preparing for and assisting on photo shoots, checking in and returning samples, making phone calls, maintaining closets and office duties.  The ideal candidate has a LOVE for fashion, thinks outside the box, hardworking and detail-oriented. Graphic Design Intern (on-going)

 

We are seeking a few interns to design advertising and marketing materials. Designers will be asked to design flyers, posters, web sites and possibly magazine layouts.  Designers will be given assignments to complete with a deadline and requirements. Designs will be e-mailed or snail mailed to the office for approval.   This is an unpaid internship, but some special assignments will offer compensation. Experience in at least one of the following is required; QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop,Adobe Illustrator and/or CorelDraw. Marketing/Promo Intern (on-going)

 

We are seeking interns to serve as marketing/promotional reps. Reps will be asked to cover events, do spot reporting, contribute ideas and PROMOTE SOLE.  Students work will be published in SOLE and/or in SOLE Magazine Online.  Candidates should have great interpersonal skills, knowledge of urban culture, writing skills and a LOVE for marketing. We here at Sole magazine would like to thank you for wanting to write for us. Sole features advice columns, personal development articles, fashion segments as well as your everyday run of the mill shoptalk.  We also run stories on up and coming local talent and entrepreneurs. 

 

Our guidelines are as follows:

 

All ideas that are submitted will be held for 60 days.  We will let you know at the end of the 60 days if we are able to use your story or not.  All submissions must be no more than 500 words, double-spaced with 11/2” margins. If we select your article; then and only then will we discuss payment.
